What i'd like for Christmas....

It's that time of year followers, December has begun and Christmas is creeping up. Thanksgiving has past obviously and i'm still working off the eating that occured here at the household. (even had a thanksgiving feast with the bros at work.) But i've had a question that has been persistently asked to me for the last couple of days and since I put most of these on here anyways (search past posts), I thought this one was to be no different. So the question has been stated in the title but i'll restate it here for the flow of my post, what would I like for Christams? I've thought and i've thought and i've come up with everything that i've already recieved this year and how wonderful it's already been. My year started off pretty well as I was getting closer and closer to graduation at the University, I had a BCS championship Crimson Tide team to be proud of, and also a very special someone to get much closer to as the year progressed. My year went along and I experienced some great moments that will never be forgotten as it was my first year to be "out on the scene". I partied with Bossman, Broski, and even the Bearded Beast (insert no shave laugh). I got through a summer without my main broski, with the help of that special someone. I even managed to sneak some trips throughout the state of Louisiana to make my life so much more complete. I've been searching for this girl for a long time and i'm supa glad to have been patient and play this out correctly. So I guess you could say that i've already gotten the best gift I could possibly get this christmas, and i'm glad I didn't wait to open it. ;) What I can ask though is that I do everything that I can for this girl, and maybe a little that I can't, so that I can keep her around and keep the wonderful holidays ahead of me.

Side note: only 5 more days until I see her again!!!

Thanks again babe!!!

.........Contiuation of the best birthday weekend eva!!

I am back home followers but not because I want to be..... It was a wonderful weekend and I left you with the hopes of the last day to be just as special as the weekend had already turned out to be... Of course she pulled through in making every minute amazing... We went to get burgers and fries, then broke home early (shocker right?) to try and save our HIMYM watching chances (since we both completely forgot)... But we moved past the issue and decided to deal with that later, we instead threw in Beverly Hills Cop and enjoyed a perfect night to cap off an amazing weekend. Not going to throw any details all over the place here but we came to a conclusion that had been bugging me inside for a while. I was super glad to hear her say that she wanted to become something more, and I assured her that I was completely ready to take the next step with her. So i'm announcing here to all of my loyal followers ;)... The Wing Expert and 'tiga' are moving along smoothly together and I absolutely cannot wait until I graduate college and get to steal her away.... (rawr!)

Amazing....

This is the one word that can sum up the best birthday weekend of my young but perfect life. It's taken me twenty-two years to figure out what exactly is important to me and what I want to get out of life, mainly in the next five years. I want to look specifically into this past year and mainly highlighting this past weekend.

I can remember my twenty-first birthday when I got off work at midnight and my fellow wingmen accompanied me to. We enjoyed a lovely night and I truly do appreciate everthing that i've learned in my five years of work. But if you've ready the message underneath the title of this blog then you'll see that I am in fact a wing expert but that i'm looking for something better. I've gained a whole new perspective on what the "better" part of that sentence means and the work that it will take to get there. However it isn't what I want to be that I am leaning towards now but who I want to be there with me. I've grown much much closer to a 'tiga' that I initially just loved to mix up my rare and sometimes useless knowledge with. (thanks again babe!)

I am going to focus on the main topic for this blog post and am writing it with a day left in my wonderful birthday celebration. I am still in fact waiting here watching HIMYM (amazing!) and trying to put off writing a script and returning back to my regular life of school, work, and waiting for the day to get myself back out here. It's been a wonderful weekend with the birthday presents, cake, and the work that was put into making it special for me, thanks again babe!!! A Friday night dinner at a mexican restaraut with some cerveza while catching up with some wonderful amigos and of course my 'tiga' {:P}. The nightcap came early since it was to be an early saturday gameday (amazing!). We roll the next morning out and I am confused by all the approval i'm getting even though i'm rooting for the enemy for that day (even though my shirt would say differently). The game was wonderful even though it didn't turn out the way i'd planned, or did it? (amizing!) Either way I could live with and of course there's always next year, ;) ROLL TIDE! The night came again and after an early and eventful day we were both passed out agian for the night, which will never bother me. Sunday arrived and we were a little more energized than some of the other people we had told we would meet up with that night. We got to chill and watch some football games again that Sunday and we both sat with excitement waiting for the big surprise that was planned for me that night. Texas de Brazil was maybe the most wonderful dinner that i've ever had, even if it did take a lot to allow my 'tiga' to pay for the whole meal, just wait for your birthday babe! After dinner we shivered over to a bookstore and we found a wonderful movie that we were to watch, however once again we both clocked out early, fine by me! Monday morning came and we awoke to a calmer Monday than we were used to so we decided to catch up and watch our movie (amazing!).
Now i've arrived at the present and dont really know what is to come, but let me tell you this, it will be (how should I put this)........ AMAZING!!!!!!

Saturdays are for Football!

Another Saturday has come and gone and the day could have gone a little better than it did for my family and friends' teams. I do have this bit of info for them though, a team usual gets stronger and much better after a loss (especially a close one to a tough south SEC team who will get two losses this year). So chin up there and for the Boomers, find a new quarterback and a new offensive scheme. That hurry up crap kills your defense, even though it's been one of the top D's in the country. Imagine if their offense would chew some clock and wear out a team rather than just try to put up numbers. Bama bounced back really well, mainly because they are starting to get healthy again. They struggled in the begging but then woke up and pounded them some nice little volunteers.

However I dont want to keep dragging along talking about this Saturday in college football (wait for my radio show!). But I'd like to move onto something that has eaten at me the past couple of Saturdays. I wake up and immediately think to myself on where I'd rather be and who I'd rather spend my Saturday with. It eats me up as usually my Saturday involves me waiting for a cue to come into work early only to be abandoned and the only one actually staying there and working while others talk outside, go for a smoke break, or even leave to go watch a son's football game. I wouldn't mind if I'd just know about it beforehand, but when I'm asleep because I was up late the night before celebrating the World Series berth for the Rangas!!! I was woken up twice and had to run to work to fix something that wasn't even broken, then get called in to work early interrupting the football game I was watching and through a rainstorm.

Just another tough day to get through and I'm glad it's over... I can't wait for next Saturday and the one after that, due to the fact that's where I want to be and who I want to spend my Saturday with (actually you could say that for any day, but if I had to pick one for now it would be Saturday). So watching the games at work isn't going to work anymore and in fact watching the games missing someone will just keep my mind racing... Good thing we can text through it though for now!!!!!

p.s. GO RANGAS! and muah!

My own little "fall break"

Well as I mentioned in the last post I will be keeping y’all a little more in the know of what is going on through the life of the Wing Expert. Not too much has changed since my last post but I’m sitting in photojournalism and am a little bored. I am on a Mac so forgive me if I have a couple of mistakes or if I drop a couple of vulgar words about how much I don’t like Macs. But for some reason I keep surrounding myself with them and my friend (not going to name any names you traitor but you know who you are……. James) But enough about the Macs and how I’m supa stubborn and will not ever admit to the liking of a Mac.
The Rangers have run off with the ALDS against the evil empire that is the New York Yankees. The Yankees however managed to steal game 5, which is their last home game of the series, with a powerful surge from their bats. (which I knew was coming eventually) But the Yankees are now without their only legitimate pitcher and the Rangers have Colby and of course Clifton Lee is still in the holster. So look for the Rangers to bounce back (I think in game 6) and their bats should hold up and hopefully stay hot for a nice World Series matchup against either San Fran or Philly…. (looking like SF now but if Philly can bring the series back to Philly then they’ll have a pretty good shot at turning the tide on the series.)
Moving on from my photojournalism class and the Rangers for now I want to move onto the best Wednesday that I can remember. I had a very special “tiga” come out to visit me on her fall break and wound up giving me a whole fall break in one Wednesday night…. (Since I don’t get one.) We got to watch the “Rangas” (even though it was a little disappointing) then we moved onto dinner and a nice little “date night.” ☺ I got her back in time to get to watch one of my favorite movies, that she picked.
It was a wonderful night and I’m supa thankful that she came out to visit me on her vacation. More to come definitely in the future including a day in which I’ve gotten numerous invites to…..

also thanks again babe!

hmmmm.....

So i've been a little M.I.A. for the past couple of months and haven't been blogging since early this summer.... I've had much much much going on in this time span, what with HIMYM starting their new season number 6, the Texas Rangers working hard towards the ulitmate goal for a baseball fan, the Alabama Crimson Tide working towards another National Title (I know they've got a loss already, but I figured they'd lose one in that stretch and they picked the right one to lose), and the switch to cheering for this LSU team and one of their very special fans... The Wing Expert is still "cooking" it up at work, I mean not all bloggers have to be unemployed and semi-lame right? But this Wing Expert is looking for something better (as it says in my bio) and needs to pick up the pace in order to keep up with broski and go sweep someone off their feet and move on out of here... Expect more to come in the future and tell your friends to check in please, and Thank You...

What are you smiling at?

Well I have been a little MIA for the past month or so, but I am here to give you an update on a (supa) great weekend. I had gone into the week knowing that I would be working a lot during the beginning of the week which would then lead to a Sunday off.. But as the work went on I saw an opportunity to take off the Saturday and enjoy a nice break off of work. Also opening up was a Tuesday which my softball team, which was coming off of a dominating win from the previous week, had their bye week. So I had a decision ahead of me with my 4 days off. I asked all week what I should do, but in my mind there was really only one place and one person that I wanted to see with my weekend off. So by the guidance of a fortune cookie I trekked alone to the sacred place of Tiga land. It was a fun, but solo ride out there. (you see I really like road trips, a lot) So I finally get to Tiga land and am immediately captivated by the massive stadium that sits just across the mighty Mississippi river. I wind around Nicholson street a little over anxious and finally get to the complex and sneak into the gates. I whirl around the turns and second guess myself and end up having to spin around a little. But I finally get out and stretch out my legs and am invited inside the casa. I catch up with the lovely aforementioned Mike the Tiga ;).... The weekend was off to a great start already and it only looked better after hearing of the plans for the rest of my time off of work, which included chilling. As a matter of fact it was a bunch of chilling with watching some baseball games, every night. (talk about a bomb weekend for me, hopefully it wasn't too boring and dull for my partner for this fun-filled weekend) So we watch the college World Series on the first night, a wonderful South Carolina victory over Clemson to put them into the championship game on Monday against the mighty UCLA Bruins. (GO SEC!) We missed out on the fashion show, but only because we didn't want to show up and put shame upon all of the models trying to fashion their wardrobe, because we totally rock. So then the weekend rolls along with a Dodgers vs. Yankees game on Sunday that turned from a pretty poorly fielded game to an exciting one with a Robinson Cano home run for my fantasy team!!! [which was totally called by Mike the Tiga ;)] I stick around for another day on Manday ;) by the gracious of the hostess and we get to watch an amazing South Carolina victory over UCLA, which we both jokingly said would happen but didn't truly believe it. Tuesday rolled up too quickly and I had to trek back home, I didn't want to leave and wished I could have stayed for at least one more night so that we could celebrate in the South Carolina victory that we both never thought would happen. (GO SEC!) But I cant go back and change anything about the trip and looking back I don't think I would want to. I had so much fun and want to express my gratitude again for allowing me to stay during my time off work. I also want to say that I am extremely excited for July 4, 2010 since I am having my Six Flags bubble bursted, and also want to say that I will never be able to watch a baseball game the same way. [hopefully I get to watch many more with her. :)] And that what was left behind was by far the best thing that I have ever left somewhere. Thanks again. :) :) :)

Also you may be asking why this post is titled, "What are you smiling at?" And the answer is I don't know, but to the person who asked the question I hope that you stick around with me and we can find out someday. :)

On a Jet Plane....

Well today was the day... The day I wasn't worried about until it had already crept up on me and run away without me having a say... I know this may come off as a little lame, which isn't my cup of tea, but spending this summer Han style could turn out being a little tougher than I expected. I know it has only just begun and I have 3 months to go, but they will be some tough 3 months and I will miss my bro. The one person that will do the crazy things that I do and not complain but join along and have fun with me. It's kind of hard to replace someone like that. The good thing is I don't have too, all I have to do is be patient and wait, then when my bro has enjoyed his stay in Europe and has returned back to "US" (get it?) we will be able to tear it up even more than before. We've already made plans for BR and are drawing plans for trips to Florida, Snookies, and of course VEGAS! So enjoy yourself bro, and when you return we can catch up from what we missed...

Was it worth it?

A question that I have heard numerous times over the last 2 days. Most likely you have been asked this question or even asked yourself this question (maybe as you are falling in and out of sleep while driving home from a sleepless night). I've worked 14 hours on sundays for about a year now and it really isnt too bad after you get started, it even gives me an extra day off. So I dont mind working all day sunday, but it gets tough if you dont get any sleep the nights before. I wont give out the specefic details, so that I dont get yelled at, but I arrived at broski's house friday and we immediatley took to the tennis court to obliterate some chikas that thought they could handle yours truly. After we had dispossed of the "brats" we took to wingstop then went back to the house to play some pong, which I am amazing at. The night flew by and everyone went home at 4 am. Through all the rain and exploding thunder I was able to sleep like a baby, even though my skinny butt froze. Woke up around 10 and with 6 hours of sleep I accompanied broski to eat and watch some quality college basketball. I wont get on my soapbox about my bracket since I agree with my dad that real experts cant predict "March Madness" but I will say that my champion, West Virginia, and somebody elses champion has already lost, Kansas. lol sorry just had to point that out again. But back to the question of was it worth it, you usually ask this as you are going through a rough next day after doing something the day/night before. I didn't have to drive 8 hours home, which I have decided I would rather work 14 hours than sit in a car for 8 hours through the snow. But knowing before what was going to be ahead the next day I stayed up Saturday night and drove back home at 10 on Sunday. I arrived in Mansfield a little after 11 and went to work at 12. The drive home was a blur since I was drifting in and out of sleep, but the work day was even worse because I had to figure out a way to stay awake and keep my speech from slurring. So I tried to stay awake by texting some of my friends and was asked by some of them, "Was it worth it?" and my answer for all was yes, except broski's his was only Hell YA! And I stand by that and say hell ya it was worth it.
